A Walk in the Rain

#

I’m out for a walk in the rain.

That’s the rain you hear hitting off my umbrella.

I have this large, not quite a golf size umbrella, but a large-ish umbrella which I rarely use.

And I was standing on my front porch watching the rain and I thought, I’ll take the big umbrella and go for a walk.

And so that’s what I’m doing.

We don’t get many days like this in Texas where it rains all day long, gently but steadily.

Rain usually comes in thunderstorms and then you have long periods of dryness.

So this is nice.

I’m also recording this on a little Sony voice recorder that I carry around with me.

It’s not ideal for posting online.

People usually use higher quality microphones and I could carry my iPhone and the nice Shure microphone that I have for it and I would get better quality.

But then I’d have my phone with me.

And I don’t like having my phone with me when I’m out for walks.

Just this little voice recorder in case ideas come to me in the rain.
