Again and again, over many years, I have written angry, denunciatory thoughts and then, just before posting, have remembered things that Jesus said: Bless those who curse you, pray for those who spitefully use you, worry about the log in your own eye rather than the speck in someone else’s eye. And I have deleted what I wrote before posting. If I had not recalled the warnings and commandments of Jesus … I might very well be a rich man right now. Think of all the people who would have rewarded me for mocking their enemies! There’s no money in restraining yourself from condemnation of others.
